![]() Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong and the proper way to get the Follow Tempo options on all loops I export, or why one will work but the other won’t? One one of the loops, when I imported into GB, I tapped Settings on the section and it had the Follow Tempo toggle! I was excited but then tried the same thing with another loop and it would only stay stuck on the GB project tempo and when I tapped Settings, there was only a Loop toggle, meaning it didn’t follow tempo. Now the wierd thing is, is that I thought I had it once after trying multiple combinations of saving the loop and also trying to embed project tempo or remove it, making sure Flex is enabled. Then I export that section on the track to my iCloud drive and import on my iPad. I make sure the track has Flex (Automatic or Speed) enabled. My process has been, drag the RX2 file into Logic Pro X, it asks do I want to Render in to Apple Loop (which I understand is suppose to tag tempo information) and I’ve also tried Render as file (WAV export). My net searches show that Flex tempo enabled should allow the option “Follow Tempo” in the track in Garageband, which then lets the beat go at whatever tempo I choose in GB. The loops have folders that indicate a BPM (110, 120) but I want to have it flex with whatever tempo I have set on my Garageband project when I import the loop in the loop browser. I have a pack of RX2 loops that I’m trying to use for my iPad Garageband. I found the missing /GarageBand 2.1/Payload/MobileGarageBand.app/Library.bundle/Application Support/Instrument Library/Sampler/Sampler Instruments/P-Bass iOS small.I’ve searched the net for this and get different answers but can’t seem to find a straightforward solution. GarageBand 2.1/Payload/MobileGarageBand.app/Library.bundle/Application Support/Instrument Library/Sampler/ The sampler files and sampler instruments are here: I have been looking there earlier, because GarageBand 10.1 did not find the instruments from the new Music Memo.app: While you are about it, you could also try to extract some of the sampler instruments, the Instrument Library is here. ![]() GarageBand 2.1/Payload/MobileGarageBand.app/Library.bundle/Audio/Apple Loops/Abstract Atmosphere 015.caf GarageBand 2.1/Payload/MobileGarageBand.app/Library.bundle/Audio/Apple Loops/, for example Inside the GarageBand application bundle is the path to the loops: I had to search for GarageBand 2.1.ipa, not GarageBand.ipa. ~/Music//iTunes/iTunes Music/Mobile Applications/GarageBand 2.1/ I download all AppStore purchases to my mac anyway, so GarageBand 2.1 was already in my iTunes folder with Mobile applications: Oh!!! I forgot to mention that once you extract that iOS GB folder you need to go to >Payload> MobileGarageband>Right click> Show package contents. Apple is really cool, but somebody dropped the ball on this one. ![]() ![]() I really can't understand why Apple would come out with such an awesome update, give us the ability to import to Mac, but not give us the new sound files on tat end. Good luck to everyone wanting to do this. The problem is I don't know where to put it yet. I found the FX extension also in the iOS extracted folder. The only message I got was that an FX extension was missing. I started GB and low and behold, it worked!!! I got every sound that was missing. Then I placed them in the same directory where the others are located in Logic on my Mac. Rather than try to index them myself, I just created a new folder called iOS and put all of the CAF files I extracted from the iOS version. There should be some folders in that area called House, Hip Hop, etc. You will be led to the area where you will include you new. Next you will need to put them into the Logic folder on your mac. Inside the folder are all of the original missing. In the open with menu you should see a green "archive utility". Once downloaded, do a search for garageband.ipa The. So if you want the workaround and some great new loops, here is what you do.ĭownload the iOS GarageBand in iTunes. So, you download right? But after waiting for the download you realize those sounds don't get put on your Mac. Then when you press continue you get this message. So, when you import your song you get a message like this. You would think that those sounds would also be available on the Mac end, but they were not. I had wondered why the new GB for iOS awesome new loops were not available after importing to mac via iCloud.
